Title of the Practice: Flipped Classroom
Flipped classrooms teaching flips the traditional method of instruction , where teachers give lectures in the
classroom and students complete assignments outside of the classroom . In a flipped classroom , students complete
assignments ( watch videos , read articles , practice problems ) outside of the classroom and then the class period
is used to discuss the material and apply what was learned to different activities . The idea behind this is to give
students more time to learn best , as they can explore and ask questions , and use the class period to discuss and
go further into the topic . When implementing a flipped classroom , there are some best practices that teachers
should follow :
1 . Before beginning , provide an overview of the flipped classroom concept to students . Make sure they are aware of
their responsibility to complete the work assigned outside of the classroom .
2 . Make the material for the flipped classroom engaging and interactive . Use videos , animations , online
activities , and other tools to help students understand the material .
3 . Provide clear instructions for each assignment . Assignments should be broken down into simple parts so that
students can understand what is expected of them .
4 . Give students time in class to practice the material and ask questions . Setting aside some dedicated time in the
classroom for practice will help build students ’ confidence and understanding of the material.
5 . Evaluate student progress . In a flipped classroom , it ’ s important to track and assess student progress .
Monitor how they are doing on assignments and activities , and provide feedback so students can continue to refine
their skills .

· This will helps them
to meet the challenges faced by today’s IT professional by exposing them to wide array of cutting-edge
technologies during the course of development and also to enhance entrepreneur skills.
Context:
The Software Development Cell formed by the department caters the automation of various system oriented applications
for the college. It is initiated in the year 2019.
The Practices:
In this software development cell, it involves working with small groups
of interested students. Each student takes on a role within the group and developed based on their modules. Now
the Software Development cell takes up in-house projects. To identify the problem based on their institutional
needs. Later it will consider to consultancy projects with industrial exposure. The developers are developing
the software. Under the guidance of Department faculty coordinator interested students are identified and
projects related to the college internal applications are developed. Periodical meetings are conducted to sort
out the findings with this regard and also to aid in organized development. After developing the software,
testing at each level can be done by different IT teams members, or we have to organize workshop to test the
software from various institution or industries. The software testing steps can be performed either as manual
testing or using automation testing tools.
