Dr. S. Manimekalai is working as a Dean & Associate Professor of the Department (PG and Research) Computer Science in Theivanai Ammal College for Women, Villupuram. She believes that learning is a continuous process and does not end with the acquisition of a degree.
She always deems that technology changes rapidly day-to-day, especially in Computer Science. Understanding the concepts of fundamentals can able to adapt to the rapid changes in technology relatively easily.
At TACW, the curriculum remains kindred to industry requirements, and the department has a team of highly experienced and motivated faculty members who are in process of tuning the young minds to make them globally competitive.
We organize a number of Workshops, Seminars, Invited Lectures, Video Conferencing, and Webinars by inviting reputed experts from academia and industry. Department promotes active Industry-Institute interface by taking part in Experiential Learning, Summer Internship, and PG service Learning. The strength of the department is highly motivated students who understand the dynamics of the industry and upgrade their skills accordingly. The scope of computer science is endless. Through the innovative teaching-learning process with practical experience gained during Industrial Visit in reputed organizations in a teamwork approach and leadership building experience.
Our students gain vital communication and critical-thinking skills and to handle the challenges posed by the software industry through our Software Development Cell. Moreover, the long-term objective of the department is to contribute to the research and consultancy projects from Government as well as from other reputed companies.
