News & Update

Invited Lecturer

Department of Computer Science – Invited Lecture Skill Development- "Data Science Using Python". "Data science is the study of data to extract meaningful insights for business. It is a multidisciplinary approach that combines principles and practices from the fields of mathematics, statistics, artificial intelligence, and computer engineering to analyze large amounts of data. This analysis helps data scientists to ask and answer questions like what happened, why it happened, what will happen, and what can be done with the results."Resource Person: - Dr.N.Karpagavalli, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli.

Invited Lecturer

Department of Computer Science Invited Lecture on Skill Development in Deep Learning Techniques (MATLAB). Deep learning is a branch of machine learning that teaches computers to do what comes naturally to humans: learn from experience. Deep learning uses neural networks to learn useful representations of features directly from data. Neural networks combine multiple nonlinear processing layers, using simple elements operating in parallel and inspired by biological nervous systems. MATLAB it takes fewer lines of code and builds a deep learning model, without needing to be a specialist in the techniques. MATLAB provides the ideal environment for deep learning, through model training and deployment. Resource Person: Dr. S. L. JAYALAKSHMI, Assistant Professor, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry.

National Conference

Department of Computer Science - National Conference on Intellectual Property. Intellectual property is an evolving and exciting area. Intellectual property (IP) is essential for promoting innovation, creativity and economic growth. But it must be noted that the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) laws are facing several challenges, said Dr.Rajesh Doss, Group-A Gazetted Officer, National Defence Academy, Ministry of Defence, Pune, Maharashtra. Dr Doss was delivering the Inaugural address at the National Conference on “IPR for innovative research methodologies” organized by the PG & Research Department of Computer Science, Theivanai Ammal College for Women.
